Raptor: Are you happy with the new V-Shift mechanic? You can see all of iDom's Red Bull Kumite matches via the embed below. Now its progressed and SF5 is slowly coming into shape we know what we're playing now. Everyone is in a pretty good spot, but two years ago the game was more chaotic and hectic. There are no super strong characters and there are only a couple super weak characters. IDom: Right now the game is incredibly balanced. Raptor: How do you feel about Street Fighter 5 now vs. We don't really know when it will be scheduled, but then suddenly it'll get announced and people will be like "Oh Kumite is happening!" That makes it harder to prepare for and forces players to perform "right now." IDom: Kumite is pretty important because it's almost like a pop up event, if that makes any sense. How does Red Bull Kumite stack up to the likes of Evo, Capcom Cup, and those kinds of events?
Raptor: So you've made it out to a good handful of events at this point now.
I haven't been practicing at home because offline and online are two different things. That's been pretty much where all my offline practice has been coming from. Raptor: Have you been able to practice offline and prepare sufficiently for this event? It felt like now was the right time, especially after I got invited to Red Bull Kumite, to get sponsored and start traveling to tournaments as Covid slowly dies down. Covid being so restrictive made it hard as well, but now I'm done with school and we're getting back to events. IDom: It was mainly just because of school. Why did it take so long for one of the absolute best Street Fighter 5 players in the world to get this kind of sponsorship deal? Raptor: Congratulations on your new sponsorship with XSet.
